Growing up.

I thought I would try to post some pics of the baby and then I couldn't remember how to sign in.  Guess that means it has been a while.  The truth is, I don't like blogging.  Never have.  I have tried it a few times in the past and have gotten nowhere.  But I thought if anyone happened to stumble across this cute face, they would not be sorry.  So here you go, whoever you might be.

Fall family photos.

Our good friend Callie took our pictures last weekend.  I love how they turned out. One of my very favorite things about having a baby is the feeling that we are our own family.  I love it.  And these two guys are just as sweet as they are handsome.  Enjoy.

Funny faces.

I am getting such a kick out of the confused faces Nelsy keeps making as he looks up at me from drinking milk with a tissue stuffed up my nose.  I came down with a bad cold and can't find any other way to keep from dripping snot on him as he nurses.  The kleenex up the nose trick is all I got.  He can't figure out what the heck I am doing.  He is so adorable.  I would film it, but I don't know how to sensor out the private parts.

Nelsward Scissorhands.

Nels has decided he wants to be a topiary garden artist when he grows up.

While his face is much cuter than the above Edward Schissorhands, his nails are equally as sharp.  His dream is to replicate this lovely, life size elephant family.

For now, he just has me to practice on.

Good thing he is so sweet.

baby love.

The first days.

October already!

How is it possible that today is already October 1?  I blinked and the summer was over.  Trent loves this time of year and I am trying to befriend it as well.  It is beautiful and all, but for me, it has always been hard to say goodbye to the most wonderful time of year I like to call Summertime.

This summer was a new experience for us as we had the most delicious baby.  I spent most of my days tucked in our home with my little one.  He was figuring out how to put chub on his cheeks and I was figuring out how to brush my teeth and get dressed before my husband got home from work.  Who knew what a task that could be?

Even though my Pandora station has changed from The Weepies Radio to Walt Disney Children's Radio, I would not do it differently.  Not for anything in the world.

     Here's why.

Newbies.

We have a blog.  Better late than never, I suppose.  We have a new little boy so mostly we will be sharing about him.  He is our whole life right now.  He is cute.  Lots of proof to come.
